Robotic hysterectomy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that is performed to remove the uterus. The procedure is performed using a robotic system that is controlled by a surgeon, who sits at a console and operates the robot’s arms and instruments.
During a robotic hysterectomy, small incisions are made in the abdomen, and the robotic arms are inserted through the incisions. The surgeon then uses the robotic arms to remove the uterus from the body through one of the small incisions. Using robotic technology to perform a hysterectomy makes the procedure precise and accurate.
Robotic hysterectomy is generally considered a safe and effective alternative to traditional open surgery for women who need to have their uterus removed. The benefits of robotic surgery include smaller incisions, lesser blood loss, shorter hospital stays, and faster recovery.
Mrs. Naga Rani from Hyderabad successfully underwent Complex Hysterectomy at Yashoda Hospitals, Hyderabad, under the supervision of Dr. Anitha Kunnaiah, Senior Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgeon, and Infertility Specialist.
